Step

Step 1:

Cut the lid off your egg carton.
Step

Step 2:

Carefully tear your egg carton to remove each little separate cup. Cut along the top rim to create a clean edge. These are your cupcake bases.
Step

Step 3:

Paint the outside of each base using pink and white acrylic paint, and let them dry.
Step

Step 4:

Use 3D paint to add extra detail to the base of your cupcakes. Try dots, stripes and swirls.
Step

Step 5:

The top of the cupcakes need 2 pipe cleaners each. Choose a pipe cleaner for the top colour. Take one end and roll it up into a nice, tight coil.
Step

Step 6:

Choose a pipe cleaner for the bottom colour. This time, start with a circle about the size of a 10 cent piece then continue wrapping around the outside to create your second coil.
Step

Step 7:

Place some glue all the way around the top edge of your cupcake base. Sit your bottom coil on the glued edges and press down gently.
Step

Step 8:

Take your small coil and press your thumb into the middle to pop it up.
Step

Step 9:

Place some glue all the way around the bottom edge of the pipe cleaner, and stick this down.
Step

Step 10:

Pop a dot of glue on the top and stick down a pompom! Doesn’t it look delicious?
