Step

Step 1: Create your masterpiece!

This is a great way to preserve kid's artwork - let it dry and use the finished product as the backing to this Sticky Note Holder. (Tip: Fluoro and metallic paints look great!) Alternatively, use patterned or decorative paper in place of painted paper for a more polished resul
Step

Step 2: Download templates & cut out shapes

Download the templates at the bottom of this page, and cut out each of the shapes. Use a piece of the old cardboard box to cut out the Cardboard Template. Use your painted paper to cut out the back piece and the Paper Clip Cover. Finally, use the Corrugated Cardboard to cut the extra backing piece that sits behind the Sticky Notes.
Step

Step 3: Create the Backing

Glue the cardboard piece to the centre of the backing paper (facing outwards).
Step

Step 4: Cover the backing

Fold two opposing flaps inwards and glue these down. Then fold the edges of the remaining flaps to create two triangle shapes. Glue these down to the cardboard insert to cover it completely and make the square backing.
Step

Step 5: Complete backing

Glue on your cut-out piece of corrugated board to cover the folded paper on the backing. This will sit behind the Sticky Note. Leave to dry.
Step

Step 6: Cover the Fold Back Clip

Using the remaining piece of painted paper, cover the fold back clip and seal with craft glue. Leave to dry.
Step

Step 7: The final touches

Once completely dry, decorate the backing with some paper tape and attach the sticky notes to the backing using the fold back clip.
Step

Step 8: You're done!

Viola! You now have a lovely, hand made and functional gift for someone special.
