The drawing and colouring skills required would suit both primary school students and pre-schoolers.

What you'll need:

  • Micador Oil Pastels, Pack 16
  • Black paper

Step 1:

Separate your pastels into WARM (e.g. red, orange and yellow) and COOL (e.g. green, blue and purple) colours.

Step 2:

With a white pastel, draw a horizon line across the page, add a half-circle sun sitting on the horizon and sunshine rays going from the sun to the edge of the paper.

Step 3:

Still using the white pastel, add wavy lines below the horizon so they go across the paper. This will create your ocean waves.

Step 4:

Use the WARM colours to colour in the shapes above the horizon!

Step 5:

Use the COOL colours to colour in the shapes below the horizon!
