Celebrate Christmas by creating your own gingerbread ornaments using recycled cardboard! This fun upcycling activity is perfect for older children and adults. It also makes use of all those gift bags you acrue during the gift giving season!
You will need:
- A recycled gift bag or some cardboard
- Micador for Artists PermaPainters - White
- Micador Scissors
- Micador Essential Graphite Pencil
- Ribbon (Hint: you can use the ribbon from your gift bag!)
- Hole punch
On your cardboard, draw several Christmas-inspired figures and shapes such as a sock and candy cane.
Cut the shapes!
Carefully cut out the shapes using your scissors. Then, use your hole punch to create holes on top of each shape.
With your white PermaPainters, add some detail and decoration such as stripes to your shapes.

Tie and hang!
Tie the ribbon to the hole on top of each shape. Your gingerbread ornaments are now ready to be hanged!
