Follow these steps and create an artwork that you can be used to create colourful wall art, a greeting card or even wrapping paper design!
What you’ll need:
- Micador Stylist Watercolour Palette, 36
- Micador Watercolour Paper
- Micador Stay Anywhere Permanent Pen
- Micador Achiever Brushes, 3pk
- Micador Essential Pencil, HB
Step 1: Create Circles of Colour
Using water and a round Micador Achiever brush, apply plain water to the page in circular motions. Add some watercolour paint to your brush and spread it through the wet area. Applying watercolour to wet paper will cause the paint to spread and create interesting textures.
Step 2: Add More Circles of Colour
Repeat the process of creating large watercolour circles so they spread across the page. These circles can be randomly placed, and you can create as many as you like. Wait for the paint to dry before continuing.
Step 3: Sketch Out a Leaf
Lightly sketch out the shape of a leaf or branch onto the page using a Micador Essential Pencil. Trace this sketch with a Micador Stay Anywhere Permanent Pen to create a black outline. Carefully erase the graphite lines.

Step 4: Add Details
Decorate the leaves using lots of little lines to add some interest to the piece. You can also experiment using different patterns or designs within the leaves.
