  • Micador Visual Art Diary

  • Micador Eraser

  • Micador Paper Stumps

Step 1: Draw!

Using a light shade from your Micador For Artists Greys Sketching Set, lightly draw a small circle on your visual diary page. Then draw 2 slightly curved lines going upwards from both sides of the circle. Lastly, draw 2 small curved lines for the nostrils.

Step 2: Shade!

Begin by shading around the lines you have drawn, leaving the top line and upper part of the circle blank. Concentrate your shading on the darkest areas of the nose like the nostrils, the bottom of the nose and where the bridge of the nose meets the eyebrows.

Step 3: Blend!

Use your Micador Paper Stump to blend the shading you have just done in the previous step. If darker shadows are needed, repeat steps 2 & 3 until the desired tones are achieved.

Step 4: Highlight!

Use an eraser to remove any smudges that have gone onto the areas of the nose that are highlighted. This makes the highlights brighter and brings more contrast to your drawing.
