You will need:

  • Micador For Artists Brush Markers - Metallic

  • Graphite Pencil

  • Black or dark coloured paper

Step 1: Outline and Colour!

Using a graphite pencil, roughly sketch the main shapes of your design. Outline these areas with the ‘Light Gold’ brush marker and colour them in. Draw organic, uneven and curved shapes to make the design seem more natural. Using the tip of the marker, add some thin lines surrounding the main segments.

Step 2: Add Silver Sections!

Draw some small ‘Astro Silver’ areas in the middle of your segments and colour them. Create lots of little dots coming out from the silver area and towards the gold bands. Do the same with the gold but towards the silver area. This will blend both the areas together and will create a crystallised effect.

Step 3: Add Bands of Red!

Add some bands of ‘Amaranth Red’ throughout your geode design. Place some thick sections next to the ‘Light Gold’ and some thin trailing lines throughout the rest of the piece.

Step 4: Final Details!

Add some final details. Use the dotting technique to create crystallised edges on the larger gold bands and draw some fine lines within the blank spaces. Experiment with different colours and overlapping the elements.
