Ahoy matey's! Yer be findin' everythin' yer be needin' to make yer very own pirates eye patch! It might be a dress-up party. It might be for fun. Any excuse to make this convincing pirate eye patch!
Step 1:
Print the downloadable eye patch template below or draw your own onto paper. Cut out the template and trace around the shape onto your black felt.
Step 2:
Cut out your felt shape.
Step 3:
Fold your felt patch in half and give it a small snip on both ends, a few millimetres from the edge. Just enough to feed the ribbon through.
Step 4:
Firstly measure how much ribbon you need by placing around your head to where both ends meet in front of your eyes. Mark this position with your fingers, then allow a little extra, and cut. Feed your ribbon through the holes one end at a time. Tie a knot at the back. You can always adjust by making a new know and cutting the excess ribbon if needed.
Step 5:
Use the white 3D paint to create stitch lines around the edge of your patch.
Step 6:
Aarrgh! Now be off young scallywag, pirate duties are afoot!
