You will need:

  • Koi Fish template

  • Micador for Artists Rains Watercolour Paper

  • Micador for Artists AquaPainters – Spring Collection

  • Micador for Artists AquaPainters – Metallic Collection

  • Micador for Artists series 3550 brush in size 4

  • Micador for Artists Greys HB sketching pencil

  • A cup of water

Step 1: Outline!

Use your pencil to copy the line art onto your watercolour paper. Go over the outline using ‘petunia purple’ from the AquaPainters Spring Collection.

Step 2: Colour!

Using your brush, apply water to the body of the fish. Then drag ‘poppy red’ through the wet area. As the AquaPainter comes in contact with the water, the paint will spread and create a watercolour effect. Continue this throughout your fish.

Step 3: Add Colour!

Use the same technique with ‘sunflower yellow’. Apply this colour next to the ‘poppy red’ areas.

Step 4: Add Details!

Using ‘bluebird’, paint some water around the edges of your fish. Allow the paint to dry then add any extra details such as scales and even some decorative flowers.
