Early Writing Activity - Rainbow Names
Brighten up the process of learning to write your name with this rainbow writing activity! Motor skills are worked on too!

Learning to write your name can get repetitive and boring! This activity brightens up the repetition and also works in some motor skill practice.
We recommend using our Micador Junior Triangle Graphite Pencils FSC 100% - 2B, as the traingular barrel encourages correct writing grip.
Get your supplies!
A4 Drawing paper
Micador Junior Triangle Graphite Pencils, HB
Two-tone colour paper
Scissors
Glue Stick

Step 1: Print and cut
Print out and cute out the Rainbow Cloud Template provided as a download above. Then cut some coloured paper into 3cm wide strips - you will need the same amount of strips as there are letters in your name. So 'Sam' would need 3 coloured strips!

Step 2: Glue
Apply some glue to the tops of the coloured strips and then secure to the back of the cloud template that you have just cut out.

Step 3: Write
Write your name in the cloud. Remember to start your name with a capital letter.

Step 3: Practice
Write one letter of your name on each coloured strip. If you have lots of letters in your name and the strips don't fit, you can try writing out you entire name on 6 different coloured strips.
