Easy Cardboard Baskets
Easy Cardboard BasketsMake these cute & quick Easter baskets out of one sheet of A4 Cardboard.
Total: $0.00
Use corrugated or plain cardboard to make these simple Easter baskets. Leave as-is or decorate them, or even have children paint on the card beforehand for an extra special Easter basket!

Step 1
Position your A4 sheet horizontally (or landscape), and on the reverse side, mark the following lines: 1 vertical line 27cm from the right hand side, and 4 horizontal lines 9cm long, positioned 6cm from the top and bottom of the sheet as shown.

Step 2
Cut along the lines. The long strip will form the handle of your basket, while the other piece is your base.

Step 3
To make the sides of your basket, make two folds in the cardboard, along the point where your cuts finish.

Step 4
Then using your cut lines as a guide, fold the cardboard to form a square in the centre of your piece of cardboard. Tip: Use a ruler to help if necessary.

Step 5
Fold the sides over each other as shown to form 3 walls.

Step 6
Glue the sides in position using craft glue or a glue stick. Then glue and fold last flap, which will form the outer edge of your box. Glue the overlapping edge to the inside of your box to finish it.

Step 7
Repeat on the other side.

Step 7
Once complete, glue each edge of the handle to the top outside of the box to finish off your basket. Craft glue is best for this step. Once dry, you're ready to go on an Easter hunt and fill with treats!
