You will need:
Black paper
Fine sea salt
Micador jR. Jumbo Watercolour Palette
Craft glue

Step 1: Draw!
Use the tip of the craft glue bottle to draw hearts onto a piece of black paper. If your glue bottle doesn’t have a small point for drawing, you can use a paint brush instead.

Step 2: Pour Salt!
Before you begin this step, it’s best to make sure your surface is covered as using the salt can get quite messy. Pour the sea salt over the wet glue and paper. Give the page a shake to spread the salt and make sure all the glue is covered. Pour any excess salt back into your salt container and repeat this step if you need to cover more wet glue. Allow to dry for about 30 minutes.

Step 3: Add Colour!
Use your watercolour palette and a paint brush to add colour to the dried salt. Do this by wetting your brush, collecting some colour and then very lightly pressing the brush against the salt. You only need the brush to make contact with the salt as the colour will spread easily. If you press too hard, the salt will dislodge from its position.

Step 4: Dry!
Allow your artwork to dry and then put on display! When moving the painting, try not to rustle the page too much as the force can loosen the salt from the glue.
